The Bakersfield Celtic Music Festival was started by The Kern County Scottish Society in 2009. Its purpose is to increase awareness of the great tradition of Scottish and Irish Music in Bakersfield, Kern County and of Central California. It showcases local talent that already is known throughout the State, bringing groups from outside the area to draw people from all over to make this an event that will continue to grow.
