If you own a company or work for a company ask them if they'd like to help sponsor any of our events. Our event sponsors get some really great perks. The donation can also be tax deductible because we are a non-profit group. If you'd like to contact us we would be happy to come to your business and explain all the perks of becoming a business sponsor.
Don't own a business or know anyone who could help sponsor an event? That's ok. You can help support us by volunteering at our events. If you come out and volunteer a few hours of your time you will be allowed free entrance to the event. And after you're done volunteering you can go and enjoy the rest of the event. Plus you'll get a chance to meet other people who are interested in keeping The Kern County Scottish Society and our Scottish heritage alive in Kern County.
Don't have time to volunteer? Then consider becoming a member of the Kern County Scottish Society or coming to one of our events.
Not sure if you can do that? Then you can also support us through Amazon Smile. Just designate the Kern County Scottish Society as your charity to support through Amazon Smile. Each time you log onto Amazon to make a purchase make sure you go through the Smile link and a portion of your eligible purchases (0.5%) will be donated by Amazon to the Kern County Scottish Society. Just click on the link below and shop, shop, shop.
The Kern County Scottish Society is a registered 501 (c)(3) Educational Non-Profit Organization
All monies raised by our events are used to fund future events that help educate the citizens of Kern County about our rich Scottish heritage. All of our events are organized and staffed by volunteers, with the exception of any vendors who pay to participate in the events. None of the volunteers, including committee members, Members of the Board of Directors, Officers, or Chieftain are financially compensated.
We rely on donations, sponsors, raffle donations, membership payments, donations through Amazon Smile and any other fund raisers and events to keep the Kern County Scottish Society alive and well in Kern County.
Please consider donating and helping us find donations so that we can continue to keep bringing Kern County a little bit of Scotland.
